The hotel entrance, lobby, and location are great, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. As soon as we stepped into the room, there was a strong unpleasant smell, like damp carpets or a gutter. I immediately opened the windows to get some fresh air, but it didn’t help at all. The rooms are in desperate need of a full refurbishment. The carpets are very old, dirty, and stained, and the curtains were mismatched—one long, one short—with multiple stains on them. Because of the condition of the carpet, I had to lay spare bedsheets on the floor so my baby could sit and crawl safely. The service was also very poor. We were given only two small water bottles for a family of five. When we called to request more, we were told that only two bottles per day are allowed and we would have to pay for any extra. This was extremely disappointing, especially since we checked in at 10 pm and requested water around 1 am (technically the next day). The staff were unwilling to help or arrange water, and my husband had to walk to a shop at 1 am to buy water for our family. Overall, the hotel is not child-friendly, the rooms are run down, and the service is disappointing. Despite the great location, I would not recommend this hotel unless major upgrades and improvements are made.
The hotel is very good, and I highly recommend it. Its location is excellent—beautiful and close to everything. The staff are extremely polite and respectful. I stayed for three nights, and we truly enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable throughout the visit. I would also like to highlight an important point: my wife forgot her handbag, and when we returned to the hotel, we found it safely kept in the hotel’s lost and found department. This was a wonderful experience that truly reflects the hotel’s honesty and enhances trust in their service.
Very highly recommend hotel. The staff is exceptionally very helpful and wonderful, exactly what you need for the first time, we have an holiday in Istanbul. In the restaurant at 6th floor, we love SABENA, she’s very good with us, very outstanding, also the chefs and the manager. Love ‘the very very very hot chocolate’ that i always request, thank you for make it happen. We came there with the big group, always wear different Dress Code, took so many picture was so beautiful. Love the photoshoot from the hotel as they love our Dress Code. This is a great hotel located right in very convenient area of the old town in Istanbul. We can walk to so many famous attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace, etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay in Istanbul. We will definitely recommend this place to others.💖💖💖
I rarely leave bad reviews, but this stay was so unbelievably disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. First, I was given a room with a “view” of the hotel’s interior courtyard—basically a giant chandelier and walls. No natural light, no actual outside view. To make it worse, the curtains didn’t even cover the window properly, so the room was lit up all night. When I requested a change, I was moved to another room… still facing the courtyard. So much for an upgrade. The second room was even worse. It felt old, stuffy, and way too warm. The window opened only into the indoor atrium, so there was absolutely no fresh air. The AC didn’t work at all, so the room was basically a sauna. I barely slept because of how hot it was, on top of the constant noise echoing through the courtyard. The bathroom was tiny to the point of being uncomfortable: the toilet was practically touching the sink and the shower, with no space to move around. And on the last night, the shower stopped functioning properly. No matter how I adjusted the handle, the water would suddenly turn scalding hot. I literally couldn’t shower. To make things even more ridiculous, the light switch was broken, and the electricity box where you insert the key card wasn’t fixed to the wall. It didn’t work unless we jammed a toothpick in it. That’s the level of “maintenance” this place is at. The room was dark, unpleasant, noisy, overheated, and completely dysfunctional. I didn’t get a proper night’s sleep during the entire stay. Absolutely not worth the money and definitely not a place I would ever return to or recommend.
The only positive point about this hotel is its location. Unfortunately, the sound insulation is extremely poor. I stayed for 6 nights and barely slept. I could hear conversations from other rooms, showers running, hair dryers, and every noise from the corridor and neighboring rooms. It was very uncomfortable and exhausting. Another big issue was the room key system. During my entire 6-night stay, the key only worked once. Every single time I left the room, I had to go back to the reception to reactivate it. All guests were complaining about this, and the staff never explained why this was happening, even though my stay was fully paid. It was a complete waste of time and very frustrating. Breakfast was below average and exactly the same every day. If you arrive during the last hour of breakfast, many items are already finished, and the staff refuse to refill the buffet, even though it is still within the official breakfast time….
Забронировал одно, дали другое. Забронировал номер делюкс. 1. Дали номер для маломобильных гостей с поручнями и стульчиком в душевой (в начале подумал, что у них все номера оборудованы). 2. Номер был немного грязный. Позвонил на ресепшн -пришли сделали уборку. 3. Позже решил принять душ, но не было шампуня, опять позвонил в ресепшн, они принесли шампунь... 4. Позже еще раз позвонил и уточнил нет ли у них других комнат, без оборудования для маломобильных гостей и оказывается есть. Итог - переселили в нормальную чистую комнату с шампунем. ////// I booked one thing, they gave me another. I booked a deluxe room. 1. They gave me a room for guests with limited mobility, with handrails and a chair in the shower (at first I thought that all their rooms were equipped like this). 2. The room was a little dirty. I called reception and they came to clean it. 3. Later, I decided to take a shower, but there was no shampoo, so I called the front desk again, and they brought shampoo... 4. Later, I called again and asked if they had any other rooms without equipment for guests with limited mobility, and it turns out they did. The result: they moved me to a normal, clean room with shampoo.
Отель имеет хорошее расположение, пожалуй это единственный плюс. Рядом много кафе, магазинчиков, набережная Eminonu. Достаточно долгое заселение, номерной фонд очень старый, отель требует ремонта.Для этой стоимости скудный ,невкусный завтрак. При нашем выселении сломался один из лифтов,что создало пробки из людей, несколько раз не сработала карточка от номера, явно в этот день были проблемы, пришлось спускаться и подниматься не единожды по лестнице, дабы ее заменить,что тоже отняло много времени. Мы прилетели поздним рейсом из Европы(легли спать около 2 часов ночи),в 08.30 утра в дверь стучала уборщица и кричала Check out...Отвратительно.За это никто не извинился.
Рада, что выбрала этот отель для отдыха с семьей в новогодние каникулы. Для меня были важны несколько критериев в выборе отеля: шаговая доступность для прогулок в старом городе, близость достопримечательностей; наличие паркинга и организация новогоднего праздника. Новый год ещё не наступил, позже дополню свой отзыв о мероприятии. Сейчас хочу отметить чёткую и слаженную работу персонала отеля. Все сотрудники очень внимательные к постояльцам. Особо хотелось бы поблагодарить Мехмет Хан за его работу, скромный и воспитанный, всегда готов прийти на помощь.
Часто бываем в Стамбуле, но в этом отеле остановились впервые. Очень понравилось!!!! Отлично расположен в самом сердце старого города, достопримечательности в шаговой доступности. Ресторан с прекрасным панорамным видом. Очень впечатляет само историческое здание отеля. Великолепный сервис. Особенно хочется сказать большое спасибо Emirhan AND AYASEGUL.с удовольствием рекомендую это место для остановки в Стамбуле
отель ужасный. От 5 звёзд здесь только красивые люстры и месторасположение. Отель пишет информацию о бассейне, но нужно учесть - это маленький бассейн на 4 человека и очень холодная вода. И мой ребёнок там порезался. На ресепшене мадам, посмеялась и сообщила, что это мои проблемы. Посуда в ресторане со множеством сколов. В номер должны были приносить воду, но пришлось три раза сходить на ресепшен и просить, а потом вызывать менеджера, и только тогда принесли. Сообщила на ресепшен, что уезжаю рано утром и пошла спать в номер. Ночью позвонили с ресепшен и потребовали оплату за сутки. Пришлось вставать бежать вниз разбираться. Мне повезло, что я бронировала отель через турфирму и очень благодарна турфирме за поддержку, они сразу же позвонили в отель и объяснили им, что они не правы. У отеля не получилось обмануть. Но ночь не спала, в семь утра вышла из отеля злая и уставшая. Стамбул прекрасный город. Но отель должен быть хорошим, чтобы отпуск не разочаровал, и это не отель Legacy Ottoman. Будьте внимательны при выборе отеля.
