Balin Boutique Hotel

A complete scam! Fake photos, filthy rooms, and highway robbery at the restaurant ​I strongly advise everyone to avoid this hotel! Nothing corresponds to the photos or descriptions on Booking.com. ​Rooms & Hygiene: We booked two "Deluxe" rooms (advertised at 22 sqm), but we were given tiny 14-15 sqm rooms (including the hallway and bathroom). The window opened directly into a concrete wall just inches away. The rooms were filthy: ancient, stained carpets, hair everywhere, and the pillows and bed linens were visibly dirty. The bathroom (1.5m x 1.5m) was so small you couldn't even take a proper shower. ​The Restaurant & Prices: Avoid the basement restaurant at all costs! The prices are triple compared to any other place in the area. We were charged the equivalent of almost 50 EUR for two Campari drinks and about 20-30 EUR for a single coffee. It is an absolute rip-off. ​Service & Staff: The management is disastrous and totally indifferent to guests. The only decent people were two girls serving breakfast (who seemed to be foreign workers), but the rest of the staff was unprofessional. ​Security Deposit Issues: At check-out, they tried to steal our 50 EUR deposit by claiming we never paid it. Only after a long argument and showing the written receipt I had insisted on taking at check-in did they finally return the money. ​Conclusion: This is not a hotel; it is a trap for tourists. Dirty, cramped, and dishonest. A complete waste of money!

Having visited from UK, we rate this hotel very highly. Special Thanks to Manager, Tuanna and her staff for outstanding service. We had originally booked for 2 nights but extended our stay to 7 nights here. The hotel is located directly opposite Grand Bazaar and Beyazit Tram Stop and in close proximity of Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) and many other historic attractions. Breakfast consisted of a large variety of items. Please see our photos.

Good hôtel for its price as of 2022. The rooms are not the newest ones, in Turkish style, very well done, and quite spacious. Very responsive staff, taking into account your preferences (for example, we were proposed some items that were not available for breakfast without being charged). The area is quite busy, that’s why you are close to everything.

The hotel is perfectly located near to tram T1 station. Ideal to visit the heart of Istanbul. The room is very nice and really quiet. The breakfast was not the best part but the sesame seed bread was great (also the french fries). The restaurant that is available just aside the hotel is very convenient. We may have some difficulties to communicate in english with receptionist (not that the english was bad, but we struggle a bit to have fluent informations)..

Hygiene level is the highest. Very clean, tidy and well maintained. Staff members are welcoming, respectful and supportive. The TV wasn’t working apart from that, clean 🧼 bathroom 🚿 🛁 facilities. Located near all shops 🏬 and restaurants. Breakfast 🥞 was served by lovely 😻 ladies. The reception is open 24/7. Served coffee ☕️ as soon as landed. As I was checking out, the reception gentleman, got me a bottle of water without even noticing. I give 4 stars ✨ for now but, they need to fix the TV 📺 signal.

Wenn ich könnte 0 Sterne. Es werden Leistungen die nicht eingehalten werden. Wir hatten eine Anreise mit eigenem Fahrzeug, mehrfach habe wir nachgefragt ob es eigene und sichere Parkplätze gibt immer hieß es ja. Als wir dann da waren gab es dann plötzlich doch keine eigenen Parkplätze und nicht weil die eigenen voll sind sondern sie habe einfach keine eigenen Parkplätze nur Parkplätze von fremden die 10 Minuten Fußweg entfernt waren für die das Hotel natürlich im Schadensfall nicht haftet. Unterm Strich Check In war nicht möglich und eine Rückerstattung gab es auch nicht. Von deren Seite aus gab es auch keine Interessen Lösungen zu finden. Also reinste Katastrophe.

Bin so zufrieden. Komme gerade aus Istanbul zurück und wohnte im Hotel Balin. Alles war Super. Check in , Zimmer, Personal. Mega toll. Zimmer sehr sauber. Tolles leckeres Frühstück . Der Kaffee schmeckt so gut. Es waren sehr schöne Tage im Hotel Balin. Freue mich sehr bald wieder als Gast dort zu wohnen . Die Lage ist hervorragend. Vielen Dank. Bin bald wieder Gast. Hotel allgemein: Das Personal kann zwar nett sein, aber sonst hat nichts gepasst! Unser Transfer hat uns bis zum Hotel nicht hinfahren können, weil sich das Hotel steil auf einer Nebengasse befindet. Mit einem Taxi vor Ort irgendwo hinzufahren war auch mühsam. Wir müssten immer ein Stück gehen, damit man überhaupt ein Taxi sehen konnte. Es war zwar nahe bei den Einkaufsgeschäften. Das war das einzige gute daran!!! Badewanne: Die Badewannen waren Dreckig. Vom ersten Tag an hat der Duschkopf nicht funktioniert. Zimmer: Das Zimmer war allgemein dreckig und sehr alt eingerichtet. Am Boden waren sehr große Flecken zu sehen, welches nicht gereinigt wurde oder nicht mehr gereinigt werden kann. Es war in der Nacht sehr laut aufgrund den anderen Besuchern, man hat kaum schlafen können. Die Wände sind sehr dünn, dass man jede Kleinigkeit gehört hat. In der Nacht, wurde sehr lautes Musik vom Cafe (Lounge) des Hotels aufgedreht, man hat kaum schlafen können. Das Bett war zwar für zwei Leute gedacht, aber es wurden nur Matratzen aufeinander gelegt. Die Matratzen sind die ganze Zeit nur gerutscht. Hatte nicht mal einen Lattenrost…. Zum Frühstück: Die Kaffeemaschine hat nie funktioniert. Im Käse war ein Stein drinnen, dass habe ich sofort bekannt gegeben. Ich hatte sehr starke Zahnschmerzen!!! Natürlich hat sich das Personal gleich ausgeredet!! Es gab zwar nicht sehr viel Auswahl, da es ein kleines Hotel ist, aber auf solche Sachen sollte man Acht geben. Meine ehrliche Meinung zum Hotel ist: Ich würde es niemals weiterempfehlen. Ich selbst würde auch nie wieder dort übernachten wollen! Ich hatte eine ganze andere Vorstellung zum Hotel gehabt, weil eben aufgrund des Fotos und guten Kommentaren, aber meine Erwartungen hat es nicht erfüllt. Nur fürs Übernachten würde ich auch nicht bleiben!!

Sehr schönes Hotel mit einer super shisha 👍 Waren jetzt öfter hier und werden immer her kommen. Sehr zentral was braucht man mehr 👍 Cok güzel ve temiz bi Hotel . Nargilesi cok güzel . Konum olarak hemen merkezi. Herkese tafsiye ederim 👍

Absolut überteuert, die wollten für 1/8 Wein €16,-- haben!!! To expensive!!!
